This wine is golden in colour, with apricot and citrus marmalade Botrytis aromas, and a complex, elegant palate derived from very ripe, late picked fruit, significantly affected by the ‘noble rot’. Maturation in French Allier and Vosges oak has created a luscious wine to wonderfully accompany soft cheese, fresh and dried fruit, and chocolate free desserts. Screw capped.
Made in the traditional style using the cascading solera (a blend of vintages ranging from 1995 to 2010). Palate sweetness and varietal raisin fruit character is balanced by the addition of quality grape alcohol to produce a fortified wine to accompany sweeter, chocolate based desserts, or to enjoy as a perfect after dinner drink.
