The Howell family has a simple, but effective philosophy to operate their business – friendly, knowledgeable and courteous service by the ‘people with the passion”!

This attitude, coupled with award winning wines and educational tours, a delightful rural outlook and immaculate vineyard, ensures a visit will be memorable, as shown by the extremely high proportion of repeat visitations.

The vineyard site, selected in 1984 for its beauty as well as its great viticultural attributes, is 1km from the birthplace of Robs’ paternal grandmother, in 1892 ( a fact unknown to the Howells until the late 1980’s.) Rob now believes in ‘fate’! The vineyard, and subsequent winery were developed as a full family concern, with Kay and Rob receiving the valuable help, and 'constructive criticism' from their three daughters, Kate, Anna and Jess. 

Many table wine styles are produced, elegant but powerful reds and crisp flavoursome whites, plus our much acclaimed luscious dessert wine, Botrytis Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, ‘Traditional method’ sparkling wines, and a marvelous Muscat.
